The 3rd Annual Confetti Wedding Awards Announce Scotland’s Favourites
Over 90,000 votes have been cast to whittle down over 1000 competitors to just 160 finalists across Scotland’s wedding industry.
The Confetti Wedding Awards, Scotland’s most transparent wedding industry awards, is in its third year and set to hit Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel on 28th January 2018.
90,000 votes were received from brides keen to celebrate their favourite suppliers and now finalists have been announced in the 21 categories. The awards night, hosted by Capital FM’s Des Clarke, will see the 21 trophies handed out during a sparkling night of celebration for the best of Scotland’s wedding industry.
Categories include ‘Wedding Dress Retailer of the Year’, ‘Ceremony Entertainer of the Year’, ‘Photographer of the Year’ and ‘Most Desirable Venue of the Year’ among many others spanning the breadth of this wonderful industry.
All finalists have been asked to submit their Phase 1 judging information that asks business owners to take stock of their achievement and demonstrate their merit to win the category. Phase 2 judging will see independent judges and mystery shoppers touring the country visiting the best of Scotland’s wedding businesses; venues will be inspected, customer service scrutinised and staff quizzed in the search to find the best of the best.
Phase 2 judging for many of the categories involves a practical. On the 16th January 2018, Confetti take over the Fake Bake Beauty Boutique for the annual live Hair and Make-Up practical. The nation’s favourite beauty talents will be invited to demonstrate their skill and flair in an attempt to impress our specialist judges.
2018 sees the launch of the Confetti Showcase. Taking place on the 23rd January at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the Confetti Showcase will be a practical judging and showcase event. Here cakes will be sampled, catering taste-tested and finalists in the categories of Ceremony Entertainer and Reception Entertainer will have the chance to perform for the panel. With venue accessory suppliers, florists, stationers and more showcasing their work, this event will be open to all that are interested in meeting the nation’s favourite wedding businesses.
Warren Paul, CEO and Founder of The Confetti Wedding Awards, is excited to see the growth of the event, ‘The engagement and enthusiasm that we have seen this year from both businesses across the industry and the public voters sets us up for another fantastic event. We pride ourselves on our transparent judging processes and are excited to host two practical judging events this year as well as sending our mystery shoppers across the country. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our finalists and I very much look forward to celebrating their achievements at the Gala Final in January.’
The gala final, set for The Hilton, Glasgow is expected to attract over 600 guests where winners will be announced during a night of celebration for those so versed in aiding the celebrations of others. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous three course meal, wine and eclectic entertainment.
